Primrose with visitors from Sweden summer 2008 |
The second colliegirl in the house is a little miss "imported" from Lørenskog, and called Primrose as her daily name. She is named after the English wildflower that among other things is used in the production of body lotion to make your skin soft as silk.. I don't think my Primrose is to be compared to the silky skin, more to the WILDflower. She is sweet, cute and naughty, but there are never evil thoughts inside her little beautiful head. She is very kind and loving, but my good grief how many funny ideas she's able to keep in her head at the same time - and how many funny outcomes.! She is nothing but hairy fun, but very dignified when it's NEEDED. The biggest joy for me this autumn (2008) was her hip score, declared clear (A), and she has only got cea go normal. At the moment I'm eagerly waiting for her to come into season, and she will be a mum for the first time. So this hairy fun will be my new foundation for future breeding, and it means the world to me. Due to these plans she will hardly be shown this season. Through her bloodlines on her dam's side, I might bring history to daylight again as she carry the well known Rokeby lines, a kennel that was dominant world wide more tha 20 years ago. To me this is very exiting. That is why I want to send my heartfelt thanks to her breeder, Randi, for her knowledge of history put into her pedigree, and for trusting me the responsibility of Primrose's litter brother in a time when he needed it.
Of natural causes she did not show much in 2009. She had a lovely litter by Tramp February 2009 of 7 puppies. Unfortunately, 3 of them were dead and the other 4 has developed to become beautiful collies. Hope to see them ion the ring during 2010 and I's like to express my thanks for taking such good care of my babies. Primrose is mated again, and this time to Moby, and I hope to see a litter in the beginning of December. Primrose is a very determined lady who knows how she wants things. Not always popular with the 2 youngster in the house, but they give in when told so.
I love this little lady.
