The house I bought went very quickly from being a living dream to be a living nightmare. There were so many hidden faults and actually dangers that needed immediate attentions, and it would be too much for me as a sinle person to handle alone. So I decided to sell it on.

I have been fortunate to rent this old farm house in Osterøy and I hope to be able to stay here until the permanent resident turns up (and I do hope that will be in England to be honest). The first images shows a empty house, and I was certain I had more than space enough. Well later you will see how it looks like with all my furniture in, and the house is full. I also present some images of the garden we have, a huge one where I need to set up runs for the dogs, as the farmers around here keep sheep and do nopt allow my dogs to run about. The images of the garden is after I have worked very hard as it was completely overgrown when I arrived, and the last photo is from the wiev from my lounge window.

Then there is the garden:

A perfect run, don't you think? Hope to have the fences up shortly

I even have fruit trees around the property.

This is the house where we live, and some of the photos shows what a magnificent view we've got. It's nothing but wonderful to see the entire seaway to Bergen as a huge living painting right outside my windows. I bought this house this autumn (2008), and I guess there will e enough to keep me busy for years ahead dealing with the house and garden. But it is challenging and exiting, as besides being a collie lover, I'm a bit of a garden freak as soon as I get started. I am a slow starter from time to time.

We live on an island called Askøy right outside Bergen, approximately 20 minutes drive from town centre (when it's not a rush hour), so we are easy to find. We live close to the church in Stusshamn, a bit up the hill above the church. Both the dogs and I love this place. At the moment we have 2600 square meters where the dogs can run, and there are quite a few training facilities as well.

We wish everyone a heartfelt welcome to our place, but I have to ask you please, to call me in advance.

 2010

Spring is here and I have tried to dress my garden a little bit. I'd like to present some recent photos of my garden and view from here. In nice weather it is beautiful.

This was before doing the nasty work of cutting it.

Getting better and able to see more from my garden

This is what I see, at least some of it when I had finished that cutting work. Far better, eh?
