Finally, the day of Melanie's arrival had come. For weeks in advance I had a feeeling of birth delivery. Friday 22nd the new darling arrived in Norway together with previous owner, Mr. Janos Balazovits. What a girl! She was sleeping unaffected in her box in a busy and noisy airport, Gardermoen. She got her lead on, stepped out of the box and right on to the very slippery floor there, walked trustfully out of the hall ,had a little wee before she entered the penn together with her half brother Tramp in my friend Tove's car, and went to sleep again. Because of the Club's Main Show, we spent the weekend at Tove's place, and Melanie walked in and out as if she had lived there forever. She happily greeted the collies from up north that came along with us, and was not affected by any of this. Next morning she received even more visitors and there were no crying when Janos left for Hungary early next morning. On the Sunday morning we headed for the show and she was somewhat uncomfortable in the car to the show. She picked up a 3rd in class that day. Many hours later with lots of people and fuss, we strressed back for feeding and packing before we went on a 7,5 hours ride on the midnight train for Bergen. There was not a sound from her and she slept all the way. I was indeed impressed by her. When the first chapter of her history in this country now is written, she has occupied this area as the most natural thing in the world. She's eating, playing and running free along with the others, and she has been accepted by them right from the start. Of course, she has been worn out by all this travelling, but now she is back on track. I really wished I had some of her energy, and this one is a little terror. She teared the wollen slippers for Tove (Tove I will replace them), chewed one of my raincoats and "killed" a toy teddy bear. Obviously, she loves and lives life to the full. Her official name was somewhat difficult to call her as a daily name, so I called her Melanie. She is born in Poland out of a Nyitramenti bitch, and she lived in Hungary at Nyitramenti for months before arriving Norway. Thank you Elena and Janos for parting with this little darling. I do look forward to the rest of her life with her, and I'm already deeply in love with this little "bomb". Please, feel free to visit her site again as I'm convinced there will be plenty more to tell you. < span>

The first moment on Norwegian soil, Janos and my new mum.

The first steps on firm Norwegian ground with the crowd from Northern Norway. Melanie is trotting the ground at "auntie" Tove's at Aurskog.
Melanie and "auntie" Tove Bjervamoen (another Tove). First cosy moment with mum.

It's hot in Norway as well, so I feel for the shade......and the water.

My first show with my new mum......Hi, what are you looking for..hot chocolate?

I am presenting myself nicely.

Melanie did not want the same thing as me, as she decided to change wardrobe during summer, and as the autumn came, she had her second season, Obviously, you don't show a pretty girl when she is not in bloom. But I do hope we can have our share of fun during the 2010 season of showing. I do look forward to the time when I can do her x-ray for HD. I've got my plans for her. She is an extrovert young lady loaded with lots of wonderful humour. Thank you Beata for breeding this lovely girl, and thank you to Elena and Janos for letting me have her. She is another darling and I just love her to bits.
August 2009. Ready.......
Here I am.

Joy (back) and Melanie in the sofa after a good running outside.
Melanie was supposed to start her shows in April 2010 when she decided it was time to have a new season and was to left at home. With 2 dogs brought to shows as well it would be committing suicide to bring her along as well. But she is lovely, and I do look forward to show her again.

Here she is running in the first snow. Just realized when going to present more photos that I need to do some more of her to have her presented properly, so we'll come back in matter of days.
Not very easy to catch up with this young lady, but here are my latest attempts.

Melanie seldom has time to stand still for having her photos done. There so much more interesting going on, but here are a few shots of her.

No wonder I love this little girl to bits. In not very long now she will be hip scored and hopefully have a litter by the end of the year.
